Description : As an Intern for Cargill Cotton, you will gain hands-on experience working on business projects within the Cotton Sales Team. Cargill Cotton is very proud to be one of the world’s largest and oldest cotton businesses. We serve growers, ginners, buyers and textile mills worldwide through our network of buying, selling and shipping offices and our cotton gins and warehouses. 

• Gain immediate hands-on work experience in one of the world’s largest privately-held companies 
• Assist in growing a new and dynamic business function at Cargill   
• Network with employees at a variety of levels, functions, and businesses within our organization 
• Receive regular feedback on job performance 
• Present a final presentation to respective leadership teams on project outcomes, takeaways and final feedback of the internship activities and experience 

Location :

•  Memphis, TN 
• Corporate Office Setting 

Qualifications : 

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited program (all majors considered), graduating between December 2023 and May 2024  
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in general Business, Agriculture, Sales or Marketing 

Skills : 

• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with ability to influence decision-making 
• Strong analytical skills, focus and attention to detail 
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment 
• Effective problem-solving skills and ability to manage through ambiguous situations

Internship Details :

• Internships are typically 12 weeks in duration. 
• Interns are paid hourly for time worked. 
• Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work. 
• Interns who demonstrate outstanding performance and a curiosity to learn more may be offered an internship, co-op or full-time position to return the following year. 

Start and End Dates : Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June – August 2023)
